We are the first and only Jewish congregation in Indepdence, KS. Our congregation was founded in Independence in 1998. Rabbi Othniel is available for teaching, spiritual counseling, and to officiate at Jewish religious services and other life cycle events. Havurah Ami Echad is a Torah-observant gathering that subscribes to the M'kabbalim Yisroel chassidic philosophy.

Note: Havurah Ami Echad is pleased to announce the resumption of monthly Shabbat services. Our Shabbath service is held on the second Saturday of every month at 2:00 PM. We follow a traditional liturgy; mostly in English. Key prayers are conducted in Hebrew and Aramaic. Services are held at the home of Rabbi Othniel; seating is limited.
