Maxine Boner
Mrs. Maxine Boner, 89, of Big Spring, Texas and former Cherryvale, Kansas resident, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Midland, Texas.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Reverend Chuck Manyo, pastor of the Cherryvale First Baptist Church , officiating. Interment will be under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel of Independence. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
The family has suggested memorial remembrances to the Cherryvale First Baptist Church and remembrances will be received at the funeral home.
Maxine Boner was born January 12, 1938 in Cherryvale, Kansas the daughter of L. L. and Virginia Bertrand. She attended Cherryvale schools.
On January 12, 1938 in Nevada, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Richard Carl Boner. Mr. Boner preceded his wife in death on March 3, 1978,
Survivors include: a daughter, Julie Thompson of Coahoma, Texas; son and daughter in law, Tom and Olena Boner of Enchanted Oaks, Texas; son , Wesley Boner of Plumersville, Arkansas; granddaughter, Jennifer Thompson; granddaughter, Jennisa Thompson, granddaughter, Cindy and Mark Fears; granddaughter, LeAnn Boner; grandson Mike and Michelle Boner; grandson Brad Boner; and five great grandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, Jonathan Thompson; one brother, Russell Burton; and four sisters, Geneva Gibson, Opal Daniels, Thelma Bennett, and Stella Menge..
